The main department of Computer Science is the central competence and service center for IT for the cantonal administration, the courts, and the municipalities. The project office accompanies and supports them in the successful implementation of digitization and IT projects.
For the establishment of our new area of application management, we are looking for a
IT Application Manager 80–100 %
immediately or by agreement with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Responsibility for the operation and further development of the central applications (Abacus, CMI, innosolv (city and energy), LehrerOffice or iCampus) and their interfaces for the cantonal and municipal administration
- Error analysis and resolution, maintenance and optimization of our applications with internal and external IT partners
- Coordination of requests and changes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Participation in various IT projects
- Further development of the application architecture
- Creation of documentation, support for IT supporters, and conducting training for our users
Requirements
- Education in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field, ideally with further training at HF or FH level
- Professional experience in the operation and support of enterprise applications
- Experience with one or more of the central applications (Abacus, CMI, innosolvcity, LehrerOffice or iCampus)
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, especially in interaction with applications, IT architecture, networks, and cyber security
- Organizational and planning skills as well as implementation strength
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Enjoyment of working in an interdisciplinary team and with different customer groups
- Service-oriented and customer-focused personality
