The Lanzeln Senior Center is a modern facility of the municipality of Stäfa and is awarded the label “Quality in General Palliative Care”. Centrally located and in close proximity to the lake with a view of the mountains, we offer 136 residents a beautiful home. We provide person-centered, resource-oriented care based on the principles of palliative care.
We are looking for a
Head of Dementia Care Unit 90 - 100%
Your tasks and perspectives
- Personnel and professional leadership of a care team of around 14 employees
- Organization and coordination of care processes as well as the creation of duty rosters
- Ensuring professional, empathetic, and person-centered care for residents within the framework of the key worker system
- Contact person for residents, their relatives, and key workers as well as for general practitioners and external institutions
- Implementation and collaboration in the further development of quality standards in cooperation with the internal quality team
- Active participation in care (approx. 20% workload)
What you bring
- Completed training as a qualified nurse, HF or FH
- Several years of experience in long-term care and ideally in a leadership role
- Completed leadership training or the willingness to complete it
- Advantageous: Experience with RAI LTCF and personnel deployment planning with PEPS
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as solid IT user skills
- Strong organizational talent and initiative
- High level of motivation, reliability, and sense of responsibility
- A sensitive understanding of the emotional and experiential world of people with dementia, combined with solid professional knowledge
- Good written and verbal expression skills in German
