We are looking for a dedicated Surgical Equipment Manager (SEM) (m/f/d) to strengthen our Surgical Sales Team in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. You will be responsible for the strategic expansion of Alcon's market presence in the field of cataract and vitreo-retinal devices, securing market shares, and expanding the portfolio with new and existing customers. Your sales area covers parts of the cantons of Zurich, Aargau, and Bern.
A typical workday in this role includes:
- Responsibility for selling a comprehensive product portfolio in the field of anterior cataract surgery as well as support in the field of posterior vitreo-retinal surgery (vitrectomy, cataract, and microscopy)
- Building and maintaining customer relationships in hospitals and private clinics
- Conducting sales talks about Centurion and Unity; support with Constellation, Revalia, and NGenuity in the assigned territory
- Lead generation, preparation of sales offers, and conducting product demonstrations and evaluations
- Creating added value for customers through technical expertise and trustworthy collaboration
- Opportunity to independently develop the assigned care area in close coordination with a qualified team
WHAT YOU BRING TO ALCON:
- OR experience or OR training, ideally in the ophthalmic field; alternatively training as a medical device consultant, optometric or medical-technical training
- Technical understanding and experience in medical device consulting
- Sense for market opportunities and a goal-oriented approach
- Strong communication skills and confident appearance in the OR
- Willingness to travel within the region
- Fluent German skills as well as good English skills (French or Italian an advantage)
