The assistant has 50% of the activity rate for the preparation of a doctoral thesis or other scientific publications.
Master’s students in law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva may also apply, provided they have already obtained 240 ECTS credits and their diploma thesis is about to be completed.
Good knowledge of German is desirable.
The candidate will be hired on a two-year contract, renewable for two successive periods, respectively of two years and one year. The maximum duration of the assistant position is five years. The first year constitutes a probationary period, during which the employment relationship may be terminated with a three-month notice period to the end of a month.

Job description
The terms of reference include, on the one hand, research and proofreading tasks aimed at developing a comprehensive updated documentation in the field of the law of natural persons and family law as well as inheritance law, as well as organisational follow-up of a scientific event intended for practitioners (Capsule Format). On the other hand, it involves scientific research and proofreading activities as well as occasional support for exam correction. The areas of activity mainly concern the law of natural persons and family law, as well as inheritance law.The assistant has 50% of the activity rate for the preparation of a doctoral thesis or other scientific publications.
Required degree and skills
University Master’s degree in law from a Swiss university, with a good overall grade.Master’s students in law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva may also apply, provided they have already obtained 240 ECTS credits and their diploma thesis is about to be completed.
Good knowledge of German is desirable.
