Production Manager – Bakery (M/F)

Fleur de Pains SA is a Swiss company specialised in artisanal bakery and pastry. With nearly 200 employees, it brings together its headquarters and production site in Ecublens, as well as a network of 30 points of sale spread across the Lake Geneva region and the canton of Fribourg.

To strengthen our production team, we are looking for a Production Manager – Bakery, capable of leading and uniting our teams while ensuring efficient, consistent and quality production.

Your mission

You are responsible for organising and coordinating our two production teams:

• day team: about 12 employees
• night team: about 4 employees

As such, you:

• Plan and coordinate daily production according to orders, volumes and available capacities;
• Supervise, support and unite the day and night teams;
• Manage supplies, stocks and their rotation (FIFO);
• Ensure compliance with quality, hygiene and food safety standards;
• Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions;
• Optimise working methods, yields and equipment use;
• Participate in the development and testing of new products;
• Propose concrete improvements regarding equipment, infrastructure and production organisation;
• Ensure good communication between teams and different departments.

Your profile

• Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a baker-pastry chef at minimum;
• At least 2 years’ experience in managing production teams;
• Solid experience in professional bakery, ideally in a production environment;
• Good knowledge of stock and supply management;
• Organisational skills, anticipation ability and analytical mindset;
• Natural leadership, sense of responsibility and ability to unite;
• Practical mindset, responsiveness and solution orientation;
• Good command of common IT tools.

The federal master baker-pastry chef qualification is a real asset, as is experience in industrial or semi-industrial bakery.

Conditions

• Rate: 100% – 42 hours per week
• Work over 5 days
• Variable hours according to production needs, with a start time possibly required between 05:00 and 08:00 for the day team and from 18:00 for the night team.
• Some flexibility in working hours is therefore essential.
