Part-time Early Morning Delivery Person (10–20%) – Weekdays & Sundays
Your new role:
As an important ambassador of our delivery network, you are the link between the printing house and the readers. You work independently and ensure a smooth start to the day.
- You are out early in the morning alone on your assigned route delivering newspapers, magazines, and other print products.
- You complete the routes using the delivery vehicle A1 or your own car.
- You guarantee that daily newspapers are delivered by 6:30 am on weekdays and Sunday newspapers by 7:30 am (either in the letterbox or at the door).
- You are your own boss and organise your route independently.
- You reliably adhere to the set time schedule for your delivery route.
- You ensure high delivery quality to keep subscribers satisfied.
Qualifications
- You hold a category B driving licence and have your own car or category A1.
- You are weatherproof and love being outdoors in all weather conditions.
- You have a good sense of direction and quickly find your way around.
- You are extremely reliable, responsible, and flexible.
- You are physically fit and approach this demanding job dynamically.
- You are willing to familiarise yourself with digital delivery processing (app) or physical documentation.
- You report important incidents (accident, delay, illness) immediately to the central office.
What we offer you
We appreciate your commitment in the early morning hours and reward your work with attractive conditions:
- You benefit from fair employment conditions (permanent or substitute contract).
- You receive attractive early morning and night allowances.
- You have 5 weeks of holiday per year.
- You receive reimbursement for private vehicle costs if no delivery vehicle can be used due to lack of A1 certification.
- You receive the necessary delivery aids (bags, hand carts, or bicycle trailers).
Important notes:
- You work Monday to Saturday from 5:00 to 6:30 am (depending on the route).
- You work on Sundays from 5:00 to 7:30 am (depending on the route).
- Vehicle: The delivery vehicle is only provided if the category A1 licence is held.
- Travel: The commute to the newspaper depot is not compensated.
- Preparation: A trial route is possible before you take over independent delivery.
- Safety: Wearing a high-visibility vest is mandatory and shoe spikes are recommended for winter.
- Planning: Holidays must be reported in writing at least 8 weeks in advance.
- Responsibility: Any fines incurred while using vehicles must be borne by the individual.
