As a customer service representative, you work on the train and are the first point of contact for our passengers.
From 01.11.26 we are looking for you for a career change as a customer service representative in local transport (m/f/d) at DB Regio - Rail in Freiburg im Breisgau.
During your functional training as a career changer for customer service representative in local transport, you will receive an adjusted starting salary. After successful completion of the training, your salary will be increased to the starting salary of the target activity. The corresponding annual gross salary* currently ranges, depending on relevant allowances and bonuses, between:
39,000 and 42,000 EUR
This is what you can expect during retraining:
- The retraining takes place over 3 months full-time (39 hours/week) and consists of theoretical and practical teaching sections
- The theoretical lessons take place at the Offenburg location, your practical assignments usually take place at the later place of deployment
- You complete the retraining with a theoretical and practical examination
- The training classes consist of approx. 6 participants
After retraining, you will take on the following tasks:
- You actively advise and support our customers on and in the train
- You provide timetable and fare information and give information about connecting services and irregularities
- Ticket inspection is your responsibility
- You are responsible for order and safety on the train
- With high service quality, you increase the satisfaction of our customers
- Cooperation with colleagues, such as train drivers, service staff or security personnel, is part of your daily routine
Your profile:
- Ideally, you have successfully completed vocational training, e.g. as a hotel clerk, flight attendant, salesperson, retail salesman or relevant experience in the service sector
- You are familiar with handling mobile devices
- You have acquired conflict and communication skills in your professional life
- Customer and service awareness are natural to you
- You have a neat and friendly appearance and are willing to wear company clothing
- Irregular shift work does not bother you
- A valid driving licence class B is an advantage
Applications from already trained customer service representatives in local transport are of course also welcome.
After successful completion of the functional training, it is usually also possible to practise the profession part-time. For operational reasons, the qualification must be completed full-time.
