About the job
The district capital Dietikon is a lively regional centre and an important economic location in the rapidly growing Limmattal. The fifth largest city in the canton of Zurich has around 28,000 inhabitants. In six school units, around 3,000 pupils attend classes from kindergarten to secondary level.

Your tasks
Student counselling
- Counselling of pupils in individual, family and group settings
- Triage and cooperation with external specialist agencies (kjz, SPD, KJPP etc.)
- Socio-pedagogical support during time-outs and reintegration
- Interventions in acute crisis and conflict situations in groups and classes
- Networking with external specialist agencies in complex crisis situations
Internal school services
- Short counselling (no coaching) for teachers, school management, after-school care management
- Involvement and participation in a positive school culture
- Perception of problem and development areas in exchange with the school management
Prevention
- Development and implementation of prevention offers in cooperation with the school team and the school social work team
Your profile
- Diploma from a higher technical college/university of applied sciences in social work
- Professional experience working with children, adolescents and adults, preferably in school social work
- Further training or additional qualification in the field of school social work
- Competences in counselling, class and crisis intervention, project and prevention work
- Communicative personality with the ability to position oneself within the school
- Independent and interdisciplinary way of working
