Respectful and committed with head, heart and hand – that is what sumia stands for. In our retirement home in Sumiswald, we offer 130 residents a personal and safe home in the rural Emmental. Around 230 employees and 40 volunteers dedicate themselves daily with passion to the well-being of our residents.

In our laundry, we ensure daily that the laundry of our residents, internal and external customers is processed reliably, carefully and on time.

• Together with your team, you ensure the smooth laundry cycle and actively assist in day-to-day operations.
• You lead your team with appreciation, clarity and joy in collaboration.
• You organise the deployment planning proactively and ensure efficient personnel utilisation.
• Together with the Head of Housekeeping, you continuously develop processes and workflows.
• You ensure high quality as well as compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• You work closely with internal departments and ensure reliable service delivery.
• You accompany the training of our hospitality-housekeeping apprentices in the laundry area.

• You have completed training as a hospitality-housekeeping specialist EFZ or as a hospitality-housekeeping area manager FA and ideally bring experience in professional laundry services.
• Leadership experience is an advantage. Even more important are your motivation and interest in supporting and developing people with appreciation.
• With an independent, structured way of working, you gladly take on responsibility.
• You quickly recognise optimisation potential and implement improvements in a practical manner.
• With your positive charisma and high social competence, you inspire people and promote a trusting collaboration.
• Even in lively situations, you keep an overview and set priorities with foresight.
