About the job
The municipality of Vaz/Obervaz is pleased to welcome Marion Grünenfelder as the new operations manager of the Lenzerheide Sports Centre. Grünenfelder, born and raised in Chur, will take up her new role at the sports centre on 1 April 2024.
With over 20 years of leadership experience in marketing, communications, PR, sales, as well as project and product management, the 49-year-old Marion Grünenfelder brings extensive know-how and versatile skills. She has worked, among other roles, as managing director of Tourism Klosters, head of marketing and communications at the health insurer ÖKK, and in the management of marketing and sales at Pizolbahnen AG Bad Ragaz and Wangs. She currently oversees marketing for Liechtensteinische Post AG and its sub-brands.
Marion Grünenfelder will use her professional expertise to lead the Lenzerheide Sports Centre into a successful future. Beat Fausch, municipal councillor of Vaz/Obervaz, expressed his delight at the appointment: "With Marion Grünenfelder, we gain an experienced and highly motivated leader. With her broad experience and excellent network, she brings the best conditions to further establish the sports centre."
Marion Grünenfelder herself sees exciting challenges in her future position: "The new role as operations manager of the sports centre offers me the opportunity to apply my many years of experience and comprehensive knowledge in marketing/communications, tourism, and sport. It also gives me great pleasure to be able to proactively shape and develop the future direction of the sports centre. As a certified snow sports instructor, I am not only familiar with the region but also carry a love of sport in my heart. Together with the team, I strive to position and further develop the Lenzerheide Sports Centre as an outstanding facility for guests and locals alike, as well as to establish it as an integral part of the regional leisure and tourism offering. I am already looking forward to a respectful and successful collaboration with all service providers, stakeholders, guests, and residents."
