Job Objective & Tasks

Job Objective:

The Logistics Specialist Event & Catering L1 ensures the smooth goods, material, and delivery logistics within the framework of catering and events.

The focus of the role is on the preparation of events, goods receipt, internal logistics, and collaboration with the kitchen. At the same time, the role supports the setup and dismantling as well as the execution of events and can take over all logistics tasks if required.

Main Tasks

• Receiving and checking food and non-food goods, materials, and deliveries
• Coordinating and accompanying deliveries and guest pickups
• Checking delivered goods for completeness and correct allocation
• Transporting and properly storing goods and materials
• Providing goods and materials for kitchen, service, and events
• Internal transports between kitchen, storage, and event locations
• Preparing materials according to event documents
• Providing crockery, glasses, cutlery, table linen, and other required materials
• Supporting the setup of banquet rooms
• Ensuring that required materials are available on time and in full
• Supporting last-minute changes and additional logistical requirements
• Close collaboration and coordination with the kitchen
• Providing and storing kitchen and catering materials
• Coordinating goods flows between kitchen, storage, and event sites
• Supporting event management and service teams with logistical tasks
• Supporting setup and dismantling of events
• Transporting and providing furniture and event materials
• Supporting the return and storage of materials after events

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring timely and reliable provision of goods and materials
• Careful handling of goods, materials, and operational equipment
• Maintaining order and overview in assigned storage and logistics areas
• Early reporting of missing, damaged, or unavailable materials
• Compliance with operational safety, hygiene, and logistics regulations

Requirements

• Professional experience in logistics, event, catering, gastronomy, or a comparable environment
• Good organisational skills and strong practical understanding
• Independent and reliable working style
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Resilience and flexibility with changing demands

Physical Requirements

• Willingness to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
• Driving licence category B is an advantage
• Good knowledge of German
