The Cybersecurity Group (CSG) is opening a full-time Graduate Assistant in Information Systems / Computer Science position to do research at the intersection between cybersecurity, computational social science, and artificial intelligence.

Contract length : 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years

Your responsibilities
In your activities, you will have to perform innovative research on computational social science, cybersecurity, or artificial intelligence. In this endeavor, you will collaborate with researchers from other disciplines, such as social sciences, economics, or law. You thus need to be open to other scientific domains and multidisciplinary approaches. At least 50% of your time will be dedicated to the research for the doctoral thesis. You will also be involved in teaching and administrative tasks. For the teaching part, you will prepare and supervise exercises and exams for bachelor and master courses, and you will supervise student projects.
The successful candidate is expected to enroll in the doctoral school in information systems at HEC Lausanne and will be supervised by Prof. Mathias Humbert.
Your qualifications
In order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills:
- Master’s degree in computer science, communication systems, information systems or related field.
- Willingness to do research in the field of Computer Science.
- Experience and strong abilities in programming (e.g., Python).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Interest in multidisciplinary projects involving social science, political science, economics, or law.
- Fluency in English and French
