Industrial Design Intern

About the job

You will work 80–100% for 6–12 months in Zug, with the possibility to work partially remotely

• You develop product concepts from the initial idea to implementation and experience how a thought becomes a concrete product
• You work with sketches, 3D models, renderings and prototypes, using various methods to make design ideas visible and tangible
• With rapid prototyping and 3D printing, you test, validate and further develop ideas – directly on the model and with a high attention to detail
• You engage with new technologies, materials and manufacturing processes and assess their potential for future products
• You work closely with design, development, marketing and other departments, bringing your perspective into interdisciplinary projects

• You have completed a degree in Industrial Design or a comparable field and want to apply your design expertise in a demanding product environment
• You have a very good sense of form, proportion, material, colour and detail and understand how these create a coherent product
• You work confidently with common design, visualisation and CAD tools and have experience in rendering, rapid prototyping or 3D printing, or are eager to deepen your knowledge in these technologies
• You enjoy implementing design ideas holistically, from digital conception and visualisation through physical modelling and experimenting to testing new technologies, materials and manufacturing processes
• You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, while also enjoying collaboration and exchange
• You communicate very well in German and English
