There are positions where one is needed at some point. And there are situations where good professionals make the difference right now. For an established social institution in Basel, we are urgently seeking an experienced specialist from social pedagogy, agogics or disability support to effectively support an existing team in the residential area for a limited period.

The focus is on adults with various disabilities and support needs. They do not need someone to take over their daily life, but someone who professionally accompanies them, strengthens their independence and keeps an overview even in more demanding situations. Therefore, we are looking for someone to start immediately or by arrangement

Social Pedagogue or Specialist in Agogics 80-100% (temporary) - You are truly needed right now...

Your task:

• You support an existing, experienced team in assisted living both professionally and operationally. You work closely with the residents, contribute your agogic experience and take responsibility where it is needed
• Accompanying and supporting adults with disabilities in daily residential life
• Promoting self-determination, independence and social participation
• Resource-oriented and individual agogic support
• Support in everyday and leisure activities
• Planning and implementation of individual support processes
• Professional documentation of care work
• Professional exchange and support within the team
• Collaboration with internal specialist departments as well as external contacts
• Contact with relatives, legal representatives and other involved parties
• Depending on experience, taking on additional coordination or professional responsibility

Your profile:

• Ideally, a qualification as a social pedagogue HF/FH, care specialist EFZ specialising in people with disabilities or a comparable qualification in the agogic field
• However, the title on your diploma is not the only decisive factor. It is important that you have experience in supporting adults with disabilities and can confidently navigate a demanding residential environment
• You are independent, resilient and reliable. You can assess situations, communicate clearly and respectfully and remain calm even when a working day does not go as planned
• Leadership, coordination or deputy experience is welcome but not a mandatory requirement.

• You will join an existing team that temporarily needs additional professional support, and a working environment where professional agogics, reliability and common sense are more important than big words
• The assignment is limited, and the start should be as soon as possible. The workload is between 80-100% depending on availability
