The Tax Administration of the Canton of Thurgau implements federal and cantonal tax laws and provides various services for the federal government, the Canton of Thurgau, the municipalities of Thurgau, and their taxable persons.
The Collection Department of the Finance and Services sector is responsible for enforcing tax and fine claims as well as managing loss certificates for all types of taxes collected by the Tax Administration.
Due to the retirement of the current position holder, we are looking for an experienced and reliable individual as of October 1, 2025 or by agreement.
Your Tasks
Enforcement:
- Implementation of collection measures: from the enforcement request to the loss certificate
- Preparation of legal opening requests
- Participation in the management of loss certificates
- Processing of debt restructurings and deferrals
- Claims submissions in bankruptcies
Administrative Tasks:
- Processing written and telephone inquiries as well as obtaining information.
- Support for internal departments within the Tax Administration
- Booking of business transactions in Abacus and NEST
- Conducting periodic controls
Other Tasks:
- Support in optimizing and documenting work processes (instructions)
- Project work: assisting in IT projects and other projects (testing)
Your Profile
- Completed commercial basic training or equivalent education
- You have many years of experience in the collection field (SchKG), knowledge in accounting is an advantage
- You are communicative, team-oriented, quality-conscious, and responsible
- You think service-oriented and process-oriented and feel comfortable as a contact person for inquiries from internal and external parties
- You have a pronounced affinity for IT
