About the job
What if you helped us design a more inclusive society?
Located in the Vevey region, between town and countryside, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with disabilities due to intellectual impairment. A multidisciplinary and multi-site structure, it offers those accommodated a particularly harmonious living and working environment as well as a range of skills adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.
Integrated into the Eben-Hézer Foundation, the Cité du Genévrier is the custodian of the moral testament of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. It therefore considers the happiness of the people it accommodates as the ultimate goal of its work.
Mission
The "Les Jalons" group supports 6 adults with autism spectrum disorders as well as intellectual disabilities and other associated disorders such as epilepsy. The residents are aged between 45 and 65 years. The structuring of time, the team’s rigour and the clarity of support routines assist the resident in their daily life. The encounter with the people supported and their humanity allows us to become spokespeople in their connection with the outside world.
The team meeting, as the cornerstone of the group, allows educational practices to be questioned, visions to be confronted, in search of debate leading to consensus. It is also a place to take a step back from difficult situations. The educational team, experienced and demanding of itself, is sincerely involved in daily support. The qualities and differences of each member are seen as a strength, and humour and solidarity are essential resources for the team’s balance. To complete the educational team, we are looking for a social educator (M/F).
