Operations Assistant - Electricity Production

What we will achieve together

The CMC and Operations unit manages, operates and maintains SIG’s hydroelectric production facilities. It ensures hydraulic safety, optimises resources and actively contributes to the energy transition.

As an Operations Assistant - Electricity Production, you provide versatile support to the operations team, particularly in logistics, maintenance and servicing activities, to ensure the proper functioning of the facilities.

Your energy in the service of a sustainable Geneva

Within your scope, you will be responsible for:

• Providing logistical support to operations, notably through errands and equipment management;
• Carrying out maintenance of the facilities by cleaning technical rooms and machinery;
• Participating in external works alongside contractors;
• Supporting major maintenance operations by providing operational assistance;
• Performing various simple interventions on the facilities (painting, carpentry, etc.).

Your personality and skills

You enjoy teamwork while being capable of working independently on certain tasks. With a good sense of service, you demonstrate versatility, flexibility and an interest in technical activities.
You show a good general technical understanding and are comfortable working in a diverse operational environment.

This position requires good physical condition as well as the ability to work in varied environments. It is expected that you are not prone to vertigo, can swim and are not claustrophobic.

Your academic background
Technical certifications such as forklift licence, authorisation for work at height, in confined spaces, cherry picker licence, boat licence or training in lifting and slinging are an advantage.
