About the job
The city police, with its approximately 250 employees, is committed to a trustworthy Winterthur. To expand our team, we are looking for motivated police officers for the position of caseworker in the youth police from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement. In the main department Investigations & Prevention, you can expect a versatile criminal police activity in an exciting and interesting environment for the following area of responsibility:Your Tasks
- Recognising, preventing and investigating offences in the area of juvenile crime, graffiti, extremist scenes, sporting events, etc.
- Early detection of conspicuous youths and initiation of any necessary measures
- Prevention lessons at municipal schools (5th grade / 1st secondary level)
- Carrying out patrol and control activities with a focus on juvenile criminal law (evening and weekend shifts, events, etc.)
- Willingness for evening and weekend duties
Your Profile
- Completed training as a police officer with a federal diploma/certificate
- Independent, flexible, proactive, resilient and conscientious
- Skilled in dealing with young people, high professional, social and personal competence
- Convincing appearance, customer-oriented action and very good communication skills
- Willingness for evening and weekend duties
