About the job

The city police, with its approximately 250 employees, is committed to a trustworthy Winterthur. To expand our team, we are looking for motivated police officers for the position of caseworker in the youth police from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement. In the main department Investigations & Prevention, you can expect a versatile criminal police activity in an exciting and interesting environment for the following area of responsibility:

Your Tasks

Recognising, preventing and investigating offences in the area of juvenile crime, graffiti, extremist scenes, sporting events, etc.

Early detection of conspicuous youths and initiation of any necessary measures

Prevention lessons at municipal schools (5th grade / 1st secondary level)

Carrying out patrol and control activities with a focus on juvenile criminal law (evening and weekend shifts, events, etc.)

Willingness for evening and weekend duties

Your Profile

Completed training as a police officer with a federal diploma/certificate

Independent, flexible, proactive, resilient and conscientious

Skilled in dealing with young people, high professional, social and personal competence

Convincing appearance, customer-oriented action and very good communication skills

Willingness for evening and weekend duties
