In this versatile senior position, you will take on a key role in the further development of our university neuromuscular centre. You will work in an interdisciplinary, academic environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure and actively shape patient care as well as the future direction of the department. We are looking for reinforcement for our team immediately or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- You will care for patients with the full spectrum of neuromuscular diseases in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including rare neuromuscular diseases. In addition, you will lead the Laboratory for Clinical Neurophysiology with a focus on EMG/ENG, neurosonography, and evoked potentials, and further develop it both professionally and organisationally
- You will be involved in the training, further education, and continuing education of assistant doctors and other professional groups and participate in the neurological on-call service of the clinic
- You will initiate and lead scientific projects in the field of neuromuscular diseases and contribute to the academic development of the clinic
- You will maintain close collaboration with patient organisations as well as national and international cooperation partners
Your experience
- You are a specialist in neurology with proven expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular diseases, including rare conditions
- You hold the EMG/ENG qualification; additional neurophysiological qualifications (e.g. neurosonography or evoked potentials) are advantageous
- Scientific experience with and publications in the field of neuromuscular diseases are advantageous
- You have leadership experience and are characterised by teamwork, initiative, responsibility, as well as appreciative and clear communication. Furthermore, you enjoy developing structures further and actively contributing to research, teaching, and clinical innovation
