Our Data & Storage Platforms division with over 25 employees is responsible, in close collaboration with our stakeholders, for the further development and operation of the business-critical data and storage infrastructure. We rely on state-of-the-art technologies such as Oracle Exadata, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL to ensure a reliable, innovative, and scalable data and storage landscape.
In your role as a database engineer specialising in Oracle, you contribute to the further development of our entire database landscape and ensure its resilience and performance, actively shaping the future of our data and storage platforms.

Your tasks
- Responsible for the engineering, operation, and further development of our Oracle Exadata platform
- Responsible for the design and engineering of the central Oracle environment
- Ensuring performance, stability, and availability of Oracle databases including backup and recovery concepts
- Further developing the database landscape and planning as well as implementing technical lifecycle projects regarding quality, time, and budget
- Advising and supporting internal stakeholders on architecture, security, performance, and operation around database services
- Regularly performing maintenance work outside office hours and providing on-call service
Your profile
- Completed studies (university/FH/HF) in computer science or an equivalent qualification with corresponding practical experience
- Several years of experience in engineering and operating Oracle databases in business-critical environments
- Profound knowledge of Oracle Exadata, including conception, operation, and performance optimisation
- Excellent know-how in Dataguard, backup and recovery, as well as database and SQL performance tuning
- Strong affinity for data and platform technologies as well as a good understanding of the requirements of internal stakeholders such as application development or data & analytics
- Very good German and good English skills (at least level B2)
