Your Tasks
Emergency calls: You receive incoming emergency calls, take over professional communication and quickly, structured and reliably capture the situation on site. You assess the urgency of the operation, triage the emergency calls according to the applicable guidelines and dispatch the necessary rescue resources.
In doing so, you alert and coordinate ground and air rescue resources purposefully and within the specified operational and quality standards.
Your responsibility: You take on great responsibility and make a decisive contribution to professional and effective emergency care. In acute and often stressful situations, you clearly, understandably and safely direct immediate medical measures.
You accompany and support the callers empathetically, convey security and keep an overview even in challenging situations.
Your working method: You work with the most modern digital applications, map, communication and operational control systems. This allows you to keep an overview of ongoing rescue operations at all times and have an up-to-date overview of available resources.
You deploy the available rescue resources purposefully, efficiently and appropriately to the situation and ensure optimal coordination of the emergency forces. In doing so, you use the digital systems confidently and contribute with their targeted use to fast and professional emergency care.
Your Profile
Experience: Ideally, you have professional experience in an official emergency call or operations control centre or bring experience from emergency medical services or professional fire brigade. You know the special requirements of working in time-critical situations and are used to acting responsibly, structured and reliably even under high pressure.
Your practical experience and your understanding of operational processes form a valuable basis for professional and efficient emergency call handling and operational coordination.
Personality: You always treat those seeking help, team colleagues, operational teams and partner organisations with respect, appreciation and professionalism. Through your open and binding communication, you build trust and promote constructive collaboration.
Even in demanding and time-critical situations, you maintain a calm, solution-oriented attitude and thus contribute to successful cooperation and professional care of those seeking help.
Training: A prerequisite is one of the following completed trainings as a certified paramedic HF, emergency call centre dispatcher FA, transport paramedic FA, professional firefighter FA.
Insight into our work
The rescue service as part of the Department of Justice and Security includes the fire brigade, ambulance, military and civil protection as well as operational support. It is committed to various tasks for the safety and health of the population. In total, around 300 employees are engaged – they provide first aid for health problems, intervene in fires and other incidents to protect people, animals, the environment and property, and provide various cross-sectional services.
