public services. On behalf of the Health, Social and Integration Directorate (GSI) of the
Bern canton, we are responsible for the strategic planning and provision of measures for the social and professional integration of long-term unemployed individuals.
In the recycling area at the Burgdorf location, 50-60 program participants are deployed and guided according to their abilities for various tasks. The participants dismantle around 1,200
tons of household appliances and electronic devices each year.
We are looking for a
Head of Recycling, 80-100 %
starting from October 1 or by agreement.
Your tasks are
Leading the recycling team with 5-7 employees and 50-60 participants
active pedagogical involvement in the recycling area
permanent optimization of processes and workflows
Ensuring the smooth operation of logistics
Responsibility for the departmental budget and achieving the set goals
Further development of the area in alignment with the strategic goals of the foundation
Leading smaller or larger development projects in case of necessary changes
Responsibility for quality assurance towards our supplier ALTOLA AG
Collaboration with integration specialists
Networking and communication internally and externally
Your profile
You have a technical education at the HF or FH level, a business management training or
further education, as well as several years of professional experience. You have additional training in the social
field and possess skills and experience in leading smaller and larger projects. You have several years of leadership experience, and business thinking is as important to you as the people in the organization. You master the challenge between work integration and professional service with humor and are also happy to get involved in the operational daily routine. You are flexible, resilient, and approach
changes motivated and solution-oriented. Working with various people, especially those with a migration background, brings you joy.
