About the job

The care facilities of the City of Winterthur are school-complementary, socio-pedagogical institutions in voluntary day schools and are open to all kindergarten and school children.

For the School-Complementary Care at Pflanzschulstrasse, we are looking for you from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement as a Care Specialist. You will accompany the children in care during 39 teaching weeks on 5 days between Monday and Friday. You will work 6 hours each day between 12:00 and 18:00. The employment can be supplemented by additional assignments in holiday care during the school holiday weeks.

Your Tasks

• Socio-pedagogical care and support of children of kindergarten and school age
• Supporting the care and group management in organising the daily routine (including deputising for the group management if required)
• Independently planning, designing and implementing guided activities and projects for the children
• Supporting the care team in all household tasks
• Integrating children with special support needs in consultation with the care management

Your Profile

• Completed training as a Care Specialist EFZ
• Professional experience in caring for kindergarten and school-age children up to 6th grade
• Good German skills (B2), good understanding of Swiss German
• Committed, resilient, humorous and team-oriented personality
• Enjoyment of working in a diverse environment
