IOTA Group is looking for a Project Director to support one of its partners in managing major infrastructure projects in Geneva.

In a context of expanding its project portfolio, our partner wishes to strengthen its capacity to structure and lead complex operations, involving numerous teams and stakeholders.

Job Description

You will be responsible for the overall management of large-scale projects, from setting up their organisation to overseeing their execution. Your responsibility covers the overall coherence of the project and the teams’ ability to meet their commitments.

Your main tasks:

• Define the project governance, roles and responsibilities, notably through a RACI matrix.
• Coordinate the work package managers, specialists and key stakeholders.
• Manage the overall schedule, anticipate risks and define necessary actions.
• Supervise contractual, budgetary and scheduling issues.
• Defend the company’s interests with the client, especially during discussions related to additional deadlines or financial compensations.
• Support the scaling up of teams, unite collaborators and manage tensions inherent to complex projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing complex and large-scale projects or programmes.
• Strong skills in project governance, team management, risk management and contract oversight.
• Ability to take a step back, make decisions and maintain team engagement in a demanding environment.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Technical expertise in a particular discipline is not the main criterion: experience in overall project management will be decisive.

• Location: Geneva, Switzerland.
• Schedule: 5 days per week.
