Find your way Taster days at Borna The best way to find your profession is to try it out. On our taster days, you get to know different professions, workplaces and teams.
PrA Carpentry: The learners acquire basic knowledge in woodworking, get to know the handling of tools and machines. They make simple furniture and improve their accuracy and craftsmanship in the process.
PrA Kitchen: The learners acquire knowledge in food preparation, hygiene and the safe handling of kitchen appliances. At the same time, they strengthen their skills in organisation, independence and teamwork.
PrA Industry: The learners practise activities such as assembly, packaging, finishing as well as counting and inspection tasks. In doing so, they learn the safe handling of tools, machines and materials – from screwing and gluing to professional packaging.
PrA Facility Maintenance: The learners carry out maintenance and repair work in buildings as well as outdoors. In doing so, they learn the safe handling of tools and machines, promote their craftsmanship and at the same time strengthen their responsibility and independence.
PrA Domestic Services: The learners acquire knowledge in cleanliness, order and hygiene as well as in the processes of laundry and cleaning. In doing so, they strengthen their independence and sense of responsibility.
PrA Restaurant: The training imparts basics in service, guest care and hygiene. The learners practise setting tables, simple service tasks and dealing with guests. Their communication and organisational skills are strengthened in the process.
PrA Arts and Crafts specialising in Chair Weaving: The learners practise craft techniques such as weaving seats and backs and develop dexterity, perseverance, care and independence.
PrA Arts and Crafts: The learners create creative products from various materials, develop craft skills, accuracy and aesthetic sense. The training promotes creativity and perseverance.
PrA Logistics: The learners learn to handle goods as well as their storage and transport. They practise picking, packing and the use of aids. Organisation, accuracy and teamwork are promoted in the process.
PrA Support and Care for Adults: The learners accompany people in everyday life, support activities and take on responsibility. In doing so, they promote their social skills and are specifically prepared for activities in social institutions.
