The Geneva Translational Research in Infections and Vaccination (GeTRIV) platform is a joint project of the Faculty of Medicine and the HUG, led by the Centre for Emerging Viral Diseases (CMVE) and vaccinology as well as the HIV research unit. Its objective is to promote translational science in the field of immunovirology and vaccinology by providing state-of-the-art laboratories, biobank facilities, as well as offices and shared meeting spaces intended to host clinicians and basic researchers, in order to bridge fundamental research and clinical applications.
GeTRIV is recruiting a clinical research nurse to work within its team on all projects conducted within GeTRIV.
Job Description
You will participate in studies conducted at GeTRIV. You will mainly work in the Tulip Building (64, avenue de la Roseraie). Home visits or sample collections in other hospitals in the canton of Geneva are also possible.
Within the framework of the studies, you will help identify eligible participants and verify inclusion criteria in collaboration with the study investigators. You will apply the current protocols, participate in meetings, use monitoring tools, and contribute to the training of the various stakeholders involved in the participants' journey.
You will welcome, take charge of, and support participants in the various studies. You will ensure their proper understanding of the information provided and help to complete it if necessary. You will organise, plan, and carry out the different visits scheduled by the study, including inclusion, follow-up, and end-of-study visits.
You will perform the paramedical acts required by the protocol and coordinate the transfer of samples with the laboratories at GeTRIV and HUG. You will also ensure traceability of the different steps in accordance with protocol requirements.
Finally, you will enter data into the study databases, verify their accuracy and consistency, and manage documentation as well as treatments related to the studies, in collaboration with the GeTRIV team. You will mainly work regular weekday hours. Weekend or evening/night work may occasionally be required, under terms to be agreed, with compensatory time off during the week, depending on the needs of the various studies.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an equivalent qualification recognised and registered by the Swiss Red Cross, and you are proficient with computer tools as well as the electronic patient record (EPR).
You have a very good sense of organisation and are comfortable working in an environment requiring transversal collaboration with various professionals.
Theoretical and practical knowledge in clinical research is an asset. A good command of English, both spoken and written, is also a plus.
