About the job
Are you looking for a fixed-term general practitioner position where you can flexibly organise your workload and working hours? In a long-established practice in the Zurich Oberland, you will take over an existing patient base and independently manage your consultations. The assignment is planned for around six months - with the possibility of a subsequent permanent position.
Here you will find a long-established general practice in the Zurich Oberland, conveniently located with access to public transport. The practice has a well-established patient base with a high proportion of elderly people and values personal, continuous medical care.
You will work with an experienced specialist in General Internal Medicine, two medical practice assistants (MPA), and an administrative manager. The equipment includes a private consultation room, laboratory, X-ray, ECG, lung function diagnostics, and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring. The practice is located in a historic building with a special character.
Your tasks:
- Independent general medical care and treatment of an existing patient base
- Diagnosis, therapy, and follow-up checks for acute and chronic illnesses, especially in adult and elderly patients
- Conducting preventive examinations, minor surgical procedures, and in-practice diagnostic investigations
- Responsible organisation of your consultations with sufficient time for individual patient care
- Collegial collaboration with the practice owner, the MPAs, and the administrative manager
Your qualifications:
- Specialist title in General Internal Medicine or an equivalent qualification recognised in Switzerland
- Experience in the Swiss healthcare system
- Existing MEBEKO recognition and ideally a current professional practice permit (BAB) as well as OKP approval in the canton of Zurich or another canton
- German language skills at C1 level and an independent, patient-oriented working style
- Availability at short notice, ideally immediately or by arrangement
Your benefits:
Fixed-term employment for around six months: An attractive opportunity to contribute to an established general practice for a manageable period
Flexible working hours: Whether individual mornings, full working days, or individual combinations - your assignments can be tailored to your personal situation
Prospect of permanent employment: If mutually interested, there is the possibility to convert the fixed-term collaboration into a permanent employment relationship
Independent working: Own consultation room, responsible consultation planning, and enough time for careful patient care
Well-established practice environment: Long-standing patient base, support from two MPAs and an administrative manager, as well as good accessibility by public transport
