For our client, an established Swiss industrial company in the field of mechanical engineering, plant engineering and automated system solutions, we are looking for a structured, technically skilled and solution-oriented individual as an Electrical Designer for Machinery and Plant Engineering 80-100% (m/f) in the Fehraltorf ZH area.
The company develops and realises high-quality machines and plants for demanding industrial applications. The focus is on well-thought-out engineering solutions, precise electrical design, modern automation systems as well as close collaboration between engineering, control cabinet construction, assembly and commissioning.
- Planning and design of electrical components, controls, sensors, actuators and drive technology
- Creation and maintenance of parts lists, terminal plans, cable lists and other manufacturing documents
- Electrical project planning of machines, plants and customer-specific automation solutions
- Selection and dimensioning of suitable electrical components taking into account technical and economic requirements
- Adaptation and further development of existing electrical designs as well as implementation of customer-specific changes
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, safety requirements and internal quality standards
- Technical support for control cabinet construction, assembly, commissioning and service
- Clarification of technical interfaces with automation, mechanics and other engineering departments
- Participation in the standardisation and continuous optimisation of engineering processes and technical solutions
- Further training as a technician HF in electrical engineering, automation or a comparable higher technical education is an advantage
- Professional experience in electrical design or electrical project planning, ideally in mechanical or plant engineering
- Good knowledge in creating electrical diagrams and technical documentation
- Experience with EPLAN, EPLAN P8 or comparable ECAD systems is an advantage
- Good understanding of control technology, sensors, actuators, drive technology and industrial automation solutions
- Ability to understand technical contexts and develop practical solutions
- Confident handling of technical standards, guidelines and quality requirements
- Independent, structured and quality-conscious working style
- Team-oriented, reliable and solution-focused personality
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form
From the first technical design through electrical construction to support during assembly and commissioning, you accompany demanding projects and work closely with various technical departments.

Tasks
- Creation and processing of electrical diagrams, circuit diagrams and technical documentation for machines and plants- Planning and design of electrical components, controls, sensors, actuators and drive technology
- Creation and maintenance of parts lists, terminal plans, cable lists and other manufacturing documents
- Electrical project planning of machines, plants and customer-specific automation solutions
- Selection and dimensioning of suitable electrical components taking into account technical and economic requirements

Profile
