Senior Physician Gynaecology and Obstetrics 50-100 %

Would you like to cover the entire spectrum of gynaecology and obstetrics and choose your workload flexibly between 50 and 100 percent? In this senior physician position, you will work in the operating theatre, on the ward, and in the outpatient clinic, supporting junior doctors.

The established acute hospital in the German-speaking part of Switzerland has a comprehensive medical care mandate. The women’s clinic covers a wide range of gynaecology and obstetrics. This includes benign gynaecology, gynaecological oncology, urogynaecology, as well as care for pregnant women and those in labour.

You will work in a collegial, interprofessional environment where respectful exchange and reliable collaboration are highly valued. Doctors returning to clinical practice after a career break are also welcome.

Your responsibilities:

• Treatment and care of gynaecological and obstetric patients
• Medical duties in the operating theatre, on the ward, and in the outpatient clinic
• Care of gynaecological and obstetric emergencies
• Supervision and support of junior doctors
• Active participation in the professional and organisational collaboration within the women’s clinic
• Ensuring patient-centred and reliable medical care

Your qualifications:

• Specialist qualification in gynaecology and obstetrics
• If holding a foreign diploma, recognition by MEBEKO or an advanced recognition process
• Interest in the entire spectrum of gynaecology and obstetrics
• Interest in benign gynaecology, gynaecological oncology, and urogynaecology
• Responsible, structured, and patient-oriented working style
• Enjoyment of working in an interprofessional team
• Good German language skills for secure communication with patients, relatives, and staff
