Ensuring electricity in Switzerland

As a Senior SAP Solution Architect, you take on a key role in the further development of our business-relevant SAP platform. You are responsible for the architecture of complex SAP solutions and actively contribute to the strategic development of our SAP landscape. In doing so, you work closely with business units, external implementation partners, as well as internal architecture and operations teams. As a Senior SAP Solution Architect, you also take on the technical leadership of demanding SAP projects.

You translate business requirements into viable solution architectures and accompany their implementation from the initial idea to successful introduction. You combine strategic thinking with technical implementation expertise. You work closely with our business units, SAP specialists, service owners, project managers, external implementation partners, operations, and enterprise architecture. You define the framework conditions and guidelines for the creation of solution architectures and platform design in our business unit and collaborate closely with other IT departments. Your enthusiasm lies in the sustainable improvement of SAP operations. You excel in systemic analysis and design, leadership, platform architecture, and governance. You are responsible for solution architectures within the SAP landscape and, together with enterprise architecture and the architects of adjacent platforms, ensure their integration into the overarching IT architecture.

You take on the following tasks:

• Further development of the SAP platform architecture as well as co-design and implementation of Swissgrid's SAP strategy
• Development of end-to-end solution architectures for SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Applications, and adjacent systems including integration design with third-party systems
• Technical leadership of SAP projects and integration initiatives as well as responsibility for technical solution designs throughout the entire project lifecycle
• Participation in the technical implementation of complex projects by creating prototypes, integration concepts, technical specifications, and demanding implementations
• Consulting and supporting service owners and business units on complex technical and business issues, especially in the areas of finance, controlling, procurement, and asset management
• Utilisation and further development of the SAP Business Technology Platform as well as identification and evaluation of new technology trends to support future business requirements
• Further development of SAP governance and ensuring compliance with architectural principles, standards, quality requirements, and data architecture guidelines in close cooperation with enterprise architecture

You have a pronounced ability to structure complex contexts and communicate them clearly. You combine conceptual strength with a pragmatic and implementation-oriented working style.

Even with differing interests, you find viable solutions and can convincingly represent architectural decisions. You work independently, reliably, and with a high awareness of quality:

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience as an SAP Solution Architect, SAP Enterprise Architect, SAP Technical Lead, or in a comparable role
• In-depth know-how in at least one of our core modules (FI/CO, SD, HR, MM, etc.)
• Sound knowledge of SAP architectural principles, integrations (e.g. REST, Business, OData), as well as data models and governance processes
• Experience in the technical leadership of SAP projects and collaboration with external implementation and operations partners
• Strong communication, moderation, and coordination skills combined with a healthy dose of pragmatism
• Very good German and English skills. French skills would be a plus
