Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you have the opportunity to bring your creativity and technical knowledge to the development of new and innovative solutions. You are responsible for product developments in the field of high-performance circuit breakers, including conducting preliminary studies, planning, evaluation, and development of key product features that require broad technical knowledge.
The working model for this role is: onsite
You are mainly responsible for:
- Coordinating tasks involving employees from other departments to investigate problems, develop solutions, and prepare recommendations in the role of lead engineer or project manager
- Analysing technical and economic aspects of proposed solutions to support decision-making
- Proactively identifying and implementing tasks to improve operational processes, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction
- Developing, planning, executing, and coordinating recommendations for studies to promote innovation
- Representing the organisation at international meetings; interacting with customers to resolve key technical issues and develop corresponding action plans
- This position reports to the R&D Platform Owner High Performance MCB’s
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience as a development engineer or designer
- Strong technical knowledge in the following areas:
- Mechanical and electrical systems of low-voltage products
- Design of mechanical and electrical interfaces
- Design of plastic and metal parts
- Manual and automated assembly processes for components in low-voltage technology
- Good understanding of project management methods with proven experience
- Good skills in using CAD software, preferably Solidworks
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written form (German and English)
- Experience working with global suppliers, manufacturing, and engineering resources
