Their research programme should encompass the physics and physical chemistry of soft materials, such as polymers and colloids, and investigating the structure-function relationships of these materials. The Adolphe Merkle Institute’s research strategy emphasizes soft nanomaterials and bioinspiration, combining fundamental and application-oriented research to facilitate technology transfer. Preferred application fields include Health and Food, Sustainable and Circular Materials, and Materials with Emerging Functions
