We ensure the execution of operational rail production at the Limmattal marshalling yard. If things don’t go according to plan, we proactively find a solution. You will experience an intensively supported introduction over 8 months.
This is what you can achieve.
- You lead and monitor the shunting operations at the Limmattal marshalling yard and are responsible for maintaining the high quality standards.
- As a dispatcher, you take the lead in freight management and coordinate the available resources in consultation with the shift management and the central dispatch of SBB Cargo.
- You ensure the operational flow of information within the dispatch level, as well as with colleagues from SBB Infrastructure at the Limmattal marshalling yard. Additionally, you coordinate with marshalling yards, Cargo teams throughout Switzerland, and the SBB Cargo headquarters.
- If necessary, you inform the production planning partners, partner railways, and infrastructure companies.

- Precision is one of your strengths, and you are characterised by a proactive and independent working style.
- You show willingness and enthusiasm to work in a 24-hour shift system.
- You have completed a commercial or equivalent vocational training.
- You already work in dispatch or a control centre and have a strong understanding of operational safety.
- Good IT user skills and willingness to learn the internal SBB programmes.
- You communicate very well in German, both spoken and written (at least C1).
