About our client
For our client, a leading global healthcare and pharmaceutical company with a strong presence across Europe, we are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist EMEA (m/f/d). Your responsibilities
- Process multi-country payroll operations accurately and on time, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and legislation
- Manage payroll data by inputting information into databases and monitoring personnel and salary adjustments
- Coordinate expatriate and commuter payroll in collaboration with Global Mobility teams and external service providers
- Oversee payroll controls for SOX audits and other compliance requirements, ensuring all necessary approvals for bank payments are secured
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external payroll inquiries, including social insurance and tax-related questions
- Drive process improvements by contributing to the standardization and optimization of payroll and benefits administration across multiple sites
- Collaborate with stakeholders such as EMEA HR Service Delivery, HR Business Partners, and Centers of Excellence to ensure seamless operations
- Support reporting activities by generating accurate payroll reports, including earnings statements and tax documentation
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a relevant payroll qualification (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience in a multinational environment, managing payroll for multiple entities
- Hands-on expertise with outsourced payroll providers (e.g., ADP, Celergo) and HR systems such as Workday or SAP
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines
- High level of integrity and proven ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive data
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); German is a plus
- Team player with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across international teams and organizational levels
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for solving issues at root cause and staying updated on payroll trends
