Role:
In this role, you will take on the medical leadership in the field of gastroenterology and ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care. You are responsible for the professional leadership and supervision of medical colleagues, including the training and promotion of the next generation of specialists. Furthermore, you actively contribute to shaping diagnostic and therapeutic concepts and bring your expertise into interdisciplinary decision-making processes. Another focus lies in the continuous optimisation of processes, quality, and patient safety in the assigned specialty. Through your experience and commitment, you will significantly shape the strategic and medical development of gastroenterology.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will help shape gastroenterological care at the locations together with an interdisciplinary team.
You will care for and treat patients in the field of gastroenterology in close collaboration with assistant, senior, and leading physicians as well as the chief physician.
As Head of Department Gastroenterology Medical Leadership, you will engage intensively with complex gastroenterological issues and actively participate in on-call duties.
You will assume medical leadership and responsibility in the gastroenterology department and ensure excellent medical care.
In this role, you are responsible for supervising assistant doctors and medical staff in daily clinical practice.
You will be involved in the further training and education of assistant doctors and medical staff and promote their professional development.
Qualifications:
- You have completed a degree in human medicine as well as a Swiss federal or Switzerland-recognised specialist title in gastroenterology (FMH or MEBEKO equivalent).
- Ideally, you have several years of experience as a senior physician and bring comprehensive clinical expertise in gastroenterology.
- You are generalist-oriented, interested in interventional procedures, and proficient in endosonography, fine needle aspiration (FNA), and sonography.
- Flexibility characterises you, and you are willing to work at various locations.
- You communicate fluently in German, both orally and in writing.
