About the job
Our kitchen team creates "tempting" menus daily, placing great emphasis on a balanced, varied, and market-fresh cuisine – whenever possible using products from the region.
Your tasks:
- Preparation of cold and hot meals as well as mise en place
- Production of diet meals as well as lactose- and gluten-free dishes, taking allergies and food intolerances into account
- Collaboration in the patisserie
- Assistance in designing, developing, and furthering new dishes and recipes
- Careful and professional handling of food
- Support in organising and ensuring a smooth kitchen workflow
- Assuming daily responsibility
- Quality control of dishes, compliance with HACCP guidelines and occupational safety requirements
- Adherence to hygiene, quality, and safety standards
- Assistance with ordering, checking, and storing goods
We expect from you:
- Completed vocational training as a chef/cook EFZ
- Several years of professional experience, ideally in the kitchen of a retirement and nursing home or a comparable institution
- Cooking is your passion, which you live out daily with joy and commitment
- Enjoyment in working with elderly people as well as an appreciative and respectful attitude
- Independent and reliable working style
- High sense of responsibility and hygiene awareness
- Team spirit and good communication skills
- Willingness to work on weekends, public holidays, and at events
- Good oral and written German skills
