About the job
If the network is running, no one notices. That’s exactly why you are here.
Behind every smooth working day is someone who builds and secures networks so that no one has to think about it. A regionally leading IT service provider in Central Switzerland is looking for exactly this person: experienced, convincing, with a handshake quality. You will become the first point of contact for network and security at corporate clients, with a high degree of independence, a strong team behind you, and a package that matches your experience.
This advertisement is aimed at professionals who work or have worked at an IT service provider, system house, or MSP.
- You lead network and security projects from the initial concept to acceptance and act as the contact person for clients.
- You ensure that client networks remain stable, performant, and protected during ongoing operations, and resolve disruptions quickly and sustainably.
- You implement measures for network access and security, such as authentication of devices and users, certificate and proxy solutions.
- You support infrastructure projects related to servers and virtualisation when projects require it.
- You share your knowledge with the team, utilise their experience, and continuously further your education in network and security topics.
- You bring professional experience from an IT service provider in the network and security environment and are familiar with working for multiple clients.
- You have very good knowledge of network protocols and design (switching, routing, WLAN), ideally with certification at CCNA/CCNP level or equivalent.
- You are confident in handling enterprise firewalls and familiar with network access control (802.1X, RADIUS), PKI, and reverse proxy solutions.
- You understand the interrelations between network, Windows environments, and virtualisation.
- You communicate clearly and authentically, remain solution-oriented under pressure, and take responsibility.
