As a "Customizing Packaging Specialist", you will be responsible for leading and managing the execution of packaging projects and initiatives in terms of quality, safety, ergonomic, sustainability and compliance. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of products from Nestlé's portfolio, as well as a wide selection of packaging materials.

In this role, you will be a member of a cross-functional team and will collaborate closely with co-packing suppliers to determine the most suitable technical solutions. Moreover, you will champion the sustainability roadmap and be a key contributor in waste reduction, materials recovery and increased recyclability at Nestlé.

A Day in the Life of a Customizing Packaging Specialist

  • Lead packaging projects & trials at Copackers' level with focus on customizing performance, cost efficiency, on time delivery and product quality.
  • Lead packaging sustainability roadmap for Customizing portfolio.
  • Provide packaging input, proposing, and evaluating best packaging alternatives for new products and improvement to existing products.
  • Implement packaging related quality and compliance directives and drive quality improvements in our packaging.
  • Analyze consumer complaints related to packaging, propose, and implement corrective actions.

What will make you successful

  • Degree in packaging technology or engineer in material science, chemistry, mechanical and physics
  • Experience in packaging projects in operations
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership and propose solutions
  • Good understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills
  • Experience working with copacking a strong plus
  • Fluent in English, German a strong plus and French beneficial
