Job description:

As a Scientific Expert for Insect Control, you will be strengthening our efforts in Biologicals Research, driving biologicals innovation and accelerating the pipeline delivery. With your scientific background and your experience with biological products you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Drive innovative ideas for new biologicals solutions, initiate new projects and accelerate them through the pipeline
  • Be a member of project core teams or biology teams, owning or co-owning the content of the biological science plan and profile for research projects
  • Identify novel opportunities with collaboration partners and scientifically lead internal/external collaborations aiming to accelerate biologicals innovation in Insect Control
  • Lead and manage cross-functional or external collaborative projects in line with our Insect Control Biologicals strategy and portfolio needs
  • Coordinate studies and method development ensuring appropriate testing of biologicals with allocated Laboratory Scientists and interprete and provide assessments on agronomic relevance of findings

Required profile:

  • Strong scientific background (PhD and postdoc experience) in biology or agronomy
  • Several years of experience in biologicals R&D environment
  • Good knowledge in entomology and plant biology in agricultural environment
  • Competence in data science and digital technologies required to drive biologicals innovation in agriculture
  • Agricultural biologicals business understanding including appreciation how it contributes to sustainable agriculture
  • Strong interfacing and networking abilities internally/externally
  • Agility to work in an ambiguous and rapidly developing area of science, where technologies and target markets are not yet fully established
