Life Technology platform is focused on technologies that enhance and improve everyday life, particularly in the areas of health, sustainability, and comfort. Within Life Science and Fluid Control, we help OEMs across life science and fluid control industries improve the performance of their devices, enabling better scientific research, faster diagnosis of diseases, better medical treatments, and more efficient machines, dramatically improving life for everyone.

The role is based in Switzerland in our FAS Medic SA R&D Center in Versoix, with frequent travels (approx 20% of time) to our factory in Palézieux, Switzerland,

Main responsibilities

  • Analyze and Translate Client Needs into Specifications: Collaborate with product and project managers to understand the client’s requirements. Translate these needs into clear technical specifications.
  • Develop New Products that align with the specified requirements. Follow the steps outlined in our project management process (APQP) and utilize modern tools.
  • Conduct Product Characterization Tests during the different phases of development.
  • Achieve Cost, Time, and Quality Targets: Ensure that the product meets cost, time, and quality objectives.
  • Collaborate with Internal and External Partners: Work closely with project managers, production engineers, machine operators, suppliers, and salespeople. Foster effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support Product Industrialization: Partner with methods engineers to guide the industrialization phase. Monitor indicators and stabilize the product.
  • Serve as the Reference Interface for Product Modifications: Be the go-to person for any changes or updates to the product range.
  • Conduct Competitive and Technological Intelligence: Stay informed about our target markets, competitors, and technological advancements.
  • Explore New Concepts for Customer or Market Challenges: Innovate and propose solutions to address customer or market problems.

What we are looking for

  • HES/ETH (University) degree in microengineering, mechanics, micromechanics, or equivalent training.
  • In-depth knowledge of electromagnetism, fluid mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in using Inventor CAD software or an equivalent tool .
  • Expresses ideas simply, precisely, and concisely—both internally and when interacting with clients.
  • Possesses qualities of rigor, responsibility, and proactivity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in both English and French with a range of different stakeholders (oral and written)
  • Eligibility to work in Switzerland is mandatory
