Purpose:

Lead the SW development team. Design and maintain the architecture of the SW systems built. Produce the artefacts needed to comply with safety norms and regulations. Lead the software aspect of the product in certification for railway, marine and automotive industries.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead the software development team in the development and certification (railway, marine, automotive) of a functionally safe BMS.
• Lead the software development team in the development of a diagnostic tool for the FSBMS product.
• Lead the software development team in the development of an IOT solution for the FSBMS product, to be able to extract and visualize data from the system in a web-based interface and generate reports.
• Define processes and guidelines for the development of the system that complies with the railway, automotive and marine standards.
• Develop, allocate and manage complex software requirements refined from system specification
• Research software design for optimal development
• Research safety technics to implement to reach the required integrity level
• Manage tasks for subordinates.
• Provide guidance for other team members such as preparing technical presentations, training, writing requirements, or testing.
• Support safety team and system team in complying with the norms.
• Define strategies for certification and prepare technical and strategical presentation to assessment bodies and customers.
• Write the software requirements.
• Write the architecture specification.
• Setup a test bench and testing means for the software development team
• Create and enforce development standards (e.g. design, documentation and coding guidelines).
• Select technologies used in software development and in final products.
• Develop tools to improve testability, development or releasing of software.
• Lead and provide technical guidance to external collaborators for outsourced software development.

Skills & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience on SW architecture and design.
• Experience with multiple technologies including e.g. different languages and methods.
• Experience with multiple aspects of SW systems development. Including e.g. embedded SW development, security and safety.
• Good understanding of the whole lifecycle of a SW product.
• Knowledge about the safety and application standards (ISO26262, IEC61508, DNV-GL, EN50159, EN50128, EN50657 Rules).
• Knowledge about the relevant fields outside SW development: e.g. Lithium-Ion Batteries and Electronics.
