Role Overview:

As part of the Advanced Materials division, Huntsman is looking for a Business REACH Specialist who will join our Global Regulatory Issue Management team. The position is a full-time fixed-term contract until the end of March 2025. Full home-office is available, alternatively work from one of our European locations is also an option.

Role Responsibilities:   

As a Business REACH Specialist you will cover the following areas:

REACH & Regulatory support:

• Initiating, following-up and documenting REACH communication topics: requests, renewal, and coordination; regulatory coordination support; communication with potential co-registrants and suppliers.

• Prioritizing REACH (EU and non-EU) substance registration (existing and future) according to legal requirements and regulatory deadlines (e.g. ECHA) and provide inputs for business approvals.

• Coordinating and aligning substance dossier information with business needs and coordinate compilation of dossier.

• Coordinating timely and effective reporting and communicating any deviation to line manager in a timely manner.

Risk Analysis

• Supporting the update of business risk mapping analysis for the EU Advanced Materials product portfolio through effective interaction with key stakeholders.

• Anticipating potential business risks for Advanced Materials product portfolio based on such analysis and provide regular inputs to business risk management process.

           

Office support:

• Creating Purchase Requisitions.

• Validating Receipts in Ariba.

• Handling and following-up on invoices.

• Assessing and following-up on regulatory impact.

Experience and Competencies:   

We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution focused approach.  

  

What we are looking for: 

• Degree in Chemistry or similar preferred.

• Desirable experience in junior/mid-level Regulatory/REACH roles preferably in the chemical industry.

• Experience in the use of information technology tools e.g. MS office, data bases and if possible, SAP.

• Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and change management skills.

• Complex data management skills.

• Ability to work on deadlines and to cope with highly volatile workload.

• Business English is a must (any other language such as French, German etc. is an asset).
