For our Structured Trade Finance team at Axpo, we are seeking a talented Structured Trade Finance Originator. This dynamic role focuses on developing and managing a pipeline of third-party customers, including corporates and financial institutions. You will be instrumental in creating commercial strategies and innovative financing products, closely collaborating with our Trading & Sales business area.

What you will do:

• Develop commercial strategies and new counterparties to effectively roll out PNL-driven financing products, maximizing reward vs. risk.


• Lead the setup of new STF facilities, acting as the primary interface between internal parties (front office, support functions) and external parties (banks, lawyers, advisors).


• Support or lead relationship management with various external parties (international trade finance banks, insurance companies) and internal commercial desks globally (Europe, US, Asia).


• Assist commercial desks as a strategic finance expert to execute PNL-driven commercial opportunities.


• Champion change, efficiency, and collaboration by initiating or supporting operational or strategic initiatives.


• Perform any other similar tasks, including those in the field of digitalization.

What you bring & who you are:

• University degree or Business School in Finance or Law.


• Ability to lead and influence within and outside the team and across the organization.


• Previous STF origination experience on the corporate side with a leading international commodity trading house in Geneva, Singapore, Dubai, London, or New York. A strong track record in financial structuring and business development is essential.


• Entrepreneurial mindset, highly organized, strong communication skills, team player, and active risk management mindset.


• Fluent English; German and French are a strong plus.
