In this temporary position as Senior L&D Specialist incl. Team Head responsibility, you have the end-to-end responsibility to drive and continuously enhance global learning and development initiatives, in line with the Bank’s strategic ambitions and business needs.

IHRE AUFGABEN

Lead global Learning & Development initiatives which includes:

  • Design, lead and roll out development initiatives for specific target groups on a local and global level, e.g. for employees in various divisions or for front staff such as Relationship Managers
  • Evaluate individual and organisational development needs with stakeholders on all levels, act as a strategic partner for senior business leaders to deliver tailored development solutions aligned with desired business outcomes
  • Manage the full end-to-end process of individual external education requests, taking local requirements and the global policy into consideration
  • Design, manage, promote and roll out attractive L&D offering for all employees globally, based on focus topics and various channels (e.g. virtual training, learning apps and platforms)
  • Organise and host virtual training sessions in close collaboration with external providers and internal subject matter experts. Take responsibility for managing external training providers (selection, contracting, quality management, reporting, budgeting).
  • Manage respective L&D budget on a global and local level
  • Provide regular update to management and host various alignment calls

Team Lead: 

  • Day-to-day interaction with the team, by providing mentorship and support
  • Performance-review and target-setting conversations
  • Manage finance and budget planning
  • Represent the team in the Management committee of the Julius Baer Academy

  • Strong strategic, conceptual capabilities and project management skills paired with detail-oriented working style and problem-solving skills

  • Proactive and flexible working style, hands-on personality, and high customer service orientation
  • Distinct time management skills and ability to multitask effectively under time pressure
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Professional and Technical

  • Diploma in Learning & Development or similar subject
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in corporate L&D, ideally in a similar role plus 5-7 years leadership experience
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and learning design; teacher diploma is a plus
  • Knowledge of the education system in Switzerland and globally
  • Excellent service orientation and client focus, previous working experience with global stakeholders is a plus
  • Understanding of budgeting and finance processes as well as experience with LMS and invoicing systems
  • Fluent in English and German (verbal and written)
