Trade Compliance Specialist 80%

This role is perfect for an energetic and responsible person who is interested in trade compliance and wants to develop their skills in this area. Together with your line manager, you will be the main point of contact for our Customer Service teams worldwide for all questions relating to trade compliance.

A very good command of German and English is a prerequisite for this position.

This is what you can move

  • Ensure correctness towards the international law and guarantee compliancy with worldwide Embargo and Sanction rules at Medela
  • Support with customs tariff numbers and update them based on HS changes
  • Support with calculations for preferential origin
  • Assist in various projects with regards to Trade Compliance
  • Continuously drive optimization of processes within the Customer Service Group
  • Keep heads up on the daily changes and implement and train internal and external partners
  • Act as contact person for daily business inquiries in the area of HS codes, COO and customs-related inquiries
  • Deputizing for the manager in the event of absences

What you bring along

  • Bachelor degree in foreign trade or equivalent by experience
  • A qualification in economics is a strong asset
  • First experience in a similar position within an industrial environment
  • German and English fluent
  • Attention to detail, collaborative and excellent communication skills and patience.
