We are looking for a Finance Manager to join the Clients Invoicing & Payments team in Geneva. The team is part of the Finance & MANCO Oversight Department, which is responsible for calculating and invoicing management fees for mandates and other similar contracts and as well as calculating and paying trailer fees to external distributors.

Your role

The position entails a variety of responsibilities which include (among others):

• Setting up the finance-related aspects of management agreements and following up on them.


• Calculating and invoicing management fees (initial and ongoing).


• Setting up and maintaining trailer fee arrangements.


• Calculating and paying commissions (including related cash management activities) on an initial and ongoing basis.


• Checking and reconciling data between different systems and data sources.


• Carrying out recurring and possible one-off financial analysis.


• Maintaining current procedures and processes with a view to improving them where possible.


• Achieving competency in all tasks performed within the team.


• Establishing long-term relationships and ensuring good collaboration with our key internal stakeholders (Sales, Legal, Finance and Compliance) as well as the external clients that will be assigned to you.

 

This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to further develop their overall understanding of the fund industry while gaining experience in all aspects of setting up, calculating and maintaining trailer and management fees.

 

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting. 


• At least five years’ experience in a similar position or in finance/audit within the fund/asset management industry. 


• Skilled user of MS Office applications, especially Excel; knowledge of Quartal, SAP and/or MS Power Query would be a plus.


• Knowledge of data analytics. Good analytical skills. Thoroughness and rigour in the execution of tasks required.


• Team player, collaborative mindset and willing to learn.


• Fluent spoken and written English and French; another language would be a plus.


• Mandatory presence during production periods (January, April, July and October).


• Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.

 

You will receive training in the methodologies used to calculate and pay trailer fees. Throughout the training period, you will gain insight into the investment fund industry by working alongside professionals whose task will be to share their experience with you. As the successful applicant, you will be proactive and dynamic. In addition to being quick to take on new information, your attention to detail and your rigorous approach to your work will be major assets in carrying out the tasks assigned to you.
