Packaging Project Engineer

For GSK Consumer Healthcare, an international pharmaceutical company based in Nyon, we are looking for a:

Packaging Project Engineer

Technical and methodological support for the management and improvement of pharmaceutical packaging, in cooperation with customers / markets, packaging suppliers, production, engineering services and registration bodies.

Accountable for management of packaging projects, managing cross-functional teams to deliver assigned projects, meeting timeline, cost, and quality standards as determined and agreed in the project scope

Key Responsibilities:

Technical activities

  • Manage packaging continuous improvements (in Production and with the packaging suppliers)
  • Manage and organize online tests to validate packaging changes.
  • Provide packaging specifications and technical information for the development and maintenance of supplier specifications.
  • Provide packaging expertise as part of the definition of QC control procedures for packaging.
Project Management
  • Develop project charters, outline project scope, deliverables, timelines, budget and key milestones of each project
  • Track, monitor and report progress versus project plan and milestones
  • Manage risks and issues linked to the projects under his/her accountability and escalates any unresolved issues to the relevant function lead and key stakeholders
  • Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders across functions and demonstrates personal ownership and accountability for results
Ensure that relevant GxP standards are considered in the all packaging activities and the projects.

Ideal Background:
  • Master in packaging technology or significant experience in the packaging engineering & processes
  • More than 3 years in packaging activities & project management in the pharmaceutical or consumer products industries
  • Good knowledge of different types of packaging and associated technologies
