Join our Bio-based and Renewable Innovations Team within the Chemtech Division as a Head Application Development Bio-polymers and help us developing novel biopolymers with outstanding properties.


In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Leading a team of application development engineers

  • Driving new innovations and application development together with internal R&D and external partners

  • Establishing and developing a strong bio-polymer portfolio of compounds, co-polymers and formulations

  • Generating demand to enable first sales of Chemtech’s newly developed bio-co-polymers and PEF licensed technologies

  • Ensuring that developed innovations are in-line with market trends and follows a customer need

  • Assuring proactive protection of know-how and development of new IPs

  • Maintain close cooperation with R&D & Sales Departments


 To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Master’s Degree in chemical engineering or polymer engineering

  • At least 9 years’ experience in bio-polymer industry in a technical role

  • Several years’ experience with development of formulations, compounds and their associated applications in the field of bio-polymers, especially in the field of bio-polyesters (PLA, PEF, PHAs)

  • Good understanding of market dynamics, players and potential opportunities for bio-polymers

  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage global teams

  • Strong language skills (written and spoken) in English and fluency in any other languages is beneficial

  • A team player and problem solving oriented with strong communication skills

  • Availability to travel globally (up to 25%)
