At KOMP-ACT, we develop and market electric linear motors based on advanced, patented technology. Our high-performance motors are primarily designed for use in automation and packaging machines. These motors enable machine manufacturers to replace pneumatic actuators, thereby increasing productivity and flexibility while reducing operation cost and energy consumption. The latter also significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions for end users.

About the job:

This role will allow you to be part of a small and dynamic company working on innovative products. Your main responsibility will be to provide technical support to our clients in the implementation phase. You will work on technical solution, realize implementation simulation and help set-up proof of concept by the customer. For this a certain level of travel around Europe, mainly northern Italy will be necessary.

Depending on the need of the company, you will also support our R&D team in the development of the products.

Job main activities:

• Develop and implement embedded programs in C/C++ for various applications.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide customized solutions.
• Lead and support pilot projects through testing and deployment phases.
• Provide technical guidance and support during the client’s testing and deployment phase, ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction.
• Work cross-functionally with the research team to integrate electromagnetics systems.

Desired profile:

• HES electronic engineer in electronic or microengineering or equivalent.
• Experience in programming and automation, must be capable of developing efficient, reliable code for various applications.
• Strong understanding of electronic, electric motors, electromagnetic systems mechatronic and automation.
• Autonomous and capable of working independently by the client.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with the customers and the other team members.
• 3 to 5 year previous work experience in similar role.
• Good command of French, English and Italian.
• Driving licence.
• Experience of work in Switzerland.

Will be considered as a plus:

• Experience with ST (structured text) and ladder programming
• Experience with electric motor control.
• Other technical knowledges.
• Knowledge of German and other languages.
• Good sense of humour.

Place of work:

• In person in our office in Renens. Some home office may be accepted from time to time depending on the work to be done.
• Ready to travel to the client for the implementation of our solution (mainly in northern Italy and elsewhere in Europe.
