Genesupport SA is a laboratory specialized in genetic analyses for physicians and patients in Switzerland and is part of the Sonic Suisse network, a member of the international Sonic Healthcare Group.
For our commercial team in Plan-les-Ouates, we are looking for an
NGS Sales Manager - 100%
to develop and manage commercial activities related to our sequencing services in the Life Sciences sector.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of sequencing technologies (NGS: Illumina, Ion Torrent, PacBio, Element, and Sanger), as well as a strong motivation for prospecting and building long-term client relationships.
He/She will be responsible for driving business growth, expanding our client base, and promoting our NGS portfolio to academic institutions, biotech companies, and pharmaceutical clients.
Position details :
- Full-time position (CDI / permanent contract), based in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva
- Start date: immediately or to be agreed upon
Skills and qualifications:
- To strengthen our sales team, we are looking for a motivated, proactive, and self-driven team player with a scientific background who is eager to develop in sales and business development
- Scientific background with experience in NGS sequencing (short- and long-read technologies), either in wet lab or bioinformatics
- Additional education or experience in sales, business development, or economics is a plus
- Ability to understand client needs and provide fast, accurate, and appropriate responses
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in interacting with clients, advising them, and promoting our services
- Languages: French and English required; German is an asset
- Knowledge of business, project, and data management tools (Salesforce, Power BI, Asana, Abacus, etc.) is a plus.
Responsibilities :
- Identify and acquire new clients in the NGS field in line with the company’s strategic plan
- Manage and develop existing accounts in Switzerland and internationally
- Up to 20% field-based work (Switzerland and abroad), including prospecting, client visits, and participation in conferences
- Act as a single point of contact for key clients, ensuring efficient handling of requests and delivering a high level of service
- Collaborate closely with internal departments (production, bioinformatics, innovation, marketing, accounting)
- Monitor market trends and propose internal innovation and improvement initiatives
